On November 22-23, 2011, a conference of Armenian and Turkish businessmen will take place at the Hotel Hrazdan in Yerevan. The event is organized by the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen (Employers) of Armenia as part of the “Support to Armenia-Turkey Rapprochement” project, supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by the Consortium of the Eurasia Partnership Foundation, Yerevan Press Club, International Center for Human Development and the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen (Employers) of Armenia.
On October 24 the first online newsletter of Alternative Resources in Media Program was released.
The Festival included 98 films from 35 countries and more than 35 participants from 15 countries. Upon completion of the Festival in Yerevan, screenings will continue for another 40 days in the regions of Armenia.
During the period of February 1, 2011 – July 1, 2011, a total of 27 inquiries were received, 11 of them were shortlisted. During the Armenia-Turkey Open Door Selection Committee meetings on March 12, 2011, April 29, 2011 and June 22, 2011, 5 inquiries were approved for funding. A few inquiries are still in the process of review.
ReAnimania Yerevan International Animation Film Festival with support from Eurasia Partnership Foundation (EPF) will hold “Let’s Talk” Animation workshop on September 15-18, 2011. The opening session of the “Let’s Talk Animation” workshop will take place in Picasso Hall of the Congress Hotel on September 15th at 10:30 p.m. The opening session is open for media.
A series of presentations based on a study of public perceptions of media will be held in Yerevan between July 12-25, 2011. The study consists of a public opinion survey, focus-group discussions and in-depth interviews. The study was conducted by Eurasia Partnership Foundation’s (EPF) Caucasus Research Resource Centers (CRRC) within the framework of the USAID funded Alternative Resources in Media (ARM) program.

Yerevan, Armenia – The Delegation of the European Union to Armenia and the Eurasia Partnership Foundation (EPF) will launch two books providing useful information on the European Union. Hello Europe and The European Union and Armenia will be presented in Yerevan on 15 November 16:00 at the Erebuni hall of the Erebuni Business Center.
EPF with support from British Embassies in Yerevan and Baku implements a project entailed Unbiased E-Media coverage in Armenia and Azerbaijan. The project aims to contribute to accurate and unbiased reporting of the bilateral relationship between Armenia and Azerbaijan and the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, especially in the online media and blogosphere. As a part of the project we plan to fund innovative cooperation projects between journalists and bloggers from Armenia and Azerbaijan.n Please read more here..

EPF announces a grant competition to promote social enterprise in Armenia as a viable business model for organizations that are driven by both social mission and profit. The competition is designed for a limited cluster of non-profits that have participated in the Social Entrepreneurship trainings conducted by EPF in November 2009.
Dr. David L. Phillips will present the Armenian translation of his book “Unsilencing the Past” on February 4 at Yerevan’s Ani Plaza Hotel at 6:00 PM. The translation was published by the International Center of Human Development and Eurasia Partnership Foundation with support from USAID. Dr. Phillips will take questions following the presentation.
Eurasia Partnership Foundation and Theodor-Heuss-Kolleg launched Getting Involved! in February 2009 to strengthen civic engagement among young people in the South Caucasus. Participants learn how to shape their immediate surroundings by combining good ideas with the right tools. Working together, they carry out volunteer projects both in their home com-munities and in cross-border settings. In this way, they become familiar with new forms of collaboration and enhance their project management skills.
