Eurasia Partnership Foundation in Armenia (EPF) seeks a researcher or a team of researchers to develop an Armenian-language manual introducing the history and structure of the EU, as well as Armenia-EU relations. The proposed manual will be developed within the framework of EPF’s European Neighborhood Policy program, supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
The budget for development of the manual should not exceed $4,000 and can include honoraria, costs for transportation within Armenia, accommodation and per diem, translation/interpretation, and other related costs. Following the completion of the development of the manual, EPF will publish the manual, distribute and present it to interested groups and the public. Proposals should not include costs for publication and distribution of the manual.
The deadline for the submission of bids is March 31, 2009.
EPF’s goal in developing the manual is to introduce the general public, in an accessible and interesting form, to the history and structure of the European Union, main developments taking place in the EU today, as well as EU-Armenia relations. The text should be easy to understand, and presented in such a way that a range of people (from school-aged young people to working adults) can be interested and engaged by it.
The content of the proposed manual may be the following, or similar:
1.What is EU?
2.Structure of the EU and how does it operate?
3.What makes Europe United?
4.Armenia and the EU
Applicants are not limited to this content, and should propose content and a structure for the manual in their application. A detailed scope of work, including additional application instructions, can be found at www.epfound.am and is available from EPF (see contact information below).
