Let’s Talk Animation Workshop

ReAnimania Yerevan International Animation Film Festival with support from Eurasia Partnership Foundation (EPF) will hold “Let’s Talk” Animation workshop on September 15-18, 2011. The opening session of the “Let’s Talk Animation” workshop will take place in Picasso Hall of the Congress Hotel on September 15th at 10:30 p.m. The opening session is open for media.

As part of the EPF efforts in supporting Armenia-Turkey rapprochement, EPF and ReAnimania Yerevan International Animation Film Festival will bring together Armenian and Turkish animators for the first time to introduce to each other, share experiences, and promote future cooperation. A group of Turkish animators including Mr. Turgut Acacik, Mr. Ridvan Cevik, Ms. Can Deniz Sahin have been invited to participate in the 3rd ReAnimania Yerevan International Animation Film Festival to be held on September 14-19, 2011. On the sidelines of the Festival, a three-day “Let’s Talk Animation” workshop will be organized for the above group of Turkish animators and their Armenian colleagues including Ms. Naira Muradyan, Ms. Lilit Tsaturyan, and Ms. Hasmik Hovhannisyan. The workshop will be led by a renowned American animator Mr. Max Howard.

The workshop will increase mutual awareness of the animation tradition in Armenia and Turkey, as well as will create grounds for prospective co-production between the Armenian and Turkish animators.
