On April 15-17, the South Caucasus Student Film Presentation “Workshop at the Crossroads” will take place at the Moscow Cinema, Small Hall. The show will start at 17:00. Entrance is free of charge.
The Presentation is brought about by cooperation between the Internews Media Support Organization in Armenia, Internews Foundation in Georgia, and Internews Association in Azerbaijan. The “Workshop at the crossroads” project is made possible by support from Eurasia Partnership Foundation and USAID.
The films featured at the presentation are the result of professional collaboration between journalism and filmmaking students from Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia. In the course of a year, the students learned the basics of documentary production and began working on their own films. Production crews were formed between students from different countries. As part of the project, 72 students from the three countries produced 42 joint films. Many participants also used these films as a basis for their degree projects. The films will be also televised in all three countries.
“Internews has been making films which are the result of collaboration among Armenian, Azeri and Georgian producers for many years already. These films will gain the attention of our audience, as they not only support cross-border dialogue but also play an important role as examples of a common culture in the region”, says Gevorg Ter-Gabrielyan, Eurasia Partnership Foundation Country Director in Armenia.
The Moscow Cinema is located at 18 Abovyan Street and can be reached by telephone at 521240.
