Discussion on Conflict Resolution in the South Caucasus and the Eastern Partnership program

Eurasia Partnership Foundation, in cooperation with other leading civil society organizations, recently launched a new initiative entitled From Neighborhood to Partnership, which refers to Armenia’s participation in the European Union’s Eastern Partnership program.

One June 18, 2009 at 15:30 EPF will host a discussion on Conflict Resolution in the South Caucasus and the Eastern Partnership program. The discussion will take place at EPF’s office on 56 Zarobyan Street in Yerevan and will be the first in a series of discussions related to the Eastern Partnership program.

The discussion will focus on conflict resolution and trust building opportunities in the South Caucasus region in the context of the Eastern Partnership program, including Armenia-Turkey relations and the Nagorno-Karabagh conflict. Representatives of the Armenian national government, National Assembly, civil society, mass media and European Union diplomatic missions are expected to attend.

“This is a unique initiative, as it unites several leading non-governmental organizations, such as Open Society Institute, International Center for Human Development, Transparency International, Center of Civilization and Cultural Studies and others. In total ten organizations working as a coalition will try to raise discussions of Armenia-Europe issues to a new level,” says Gevorg Ter-Gabrielyan, EPF Country Director.
