The end-summer was remarkable for the Youth Bank project due to the successful completion of support grant, provided by the Jinishian Memorial Foundation to the Youth Bank Armenia program. All the project activities supported by the grant were implemented successfully and effectively. Instead of the planned 45 community mini-grants the Youth Banks implemented 48. The most outstanding results were recorded at the account of the community and volunteer work the youth bank members initiated and accomplished. This happened to a great extent thanks to our cooperation and guidance from Jinishian Memorial Foundation.
Starting from September 20th all the nine Youth Banks have launched the new round of community mini-grants. Prior to dissemination of the application forms and promotional campaigns in the regions of Armenia, colorful posters were prepared by all youth banks.
“It’s so quick and simple to get real money for real changes. If you want to change something, join us with your great ideas”,- this is the main idea of posters. The youth bank committees will be accepting applications until October 8th. Each Youth Bank will be awarded up to five grants on a local basis within the budget limit of 250 USD. Don’t miss your chance to change your surrounding for the way you’d prefer to live.
September 19th was celebrated as the Civil Society Day in Armenia. The Ararat and Yerevan Youth Banks also participated in the event, presenting the youth bank project as well as using the chance to disseminate the grant application forms for the new round of community mini-projects. The event was attended by about 1000 people, representing local and international NGOs, youth community organizations, civil society. Volunteers started the day with colorful presentation of the projects, participated in a walking campaign, even managed to compete with each other on the best slogan on volunteerism and ended the day with recognition awards. The event was organized by the CDPF. The EPF was awarded with the thank-you certificate of participation.
