Caucasus Research Resource Centers-Armenia, a program of the Eurasia Partnership Foundation in Armenia, presented to the media today the key findings of the 2009 Corruption Surveys of Households and Enterprises; the surveys are part of the USAID Mobilizing Action Against Corruption (MAAC) Activity survey program.

State of Armenian Migrants Working in Turkey

Eurasia Partnership Foundation (EPF), Global Political Trends Center at Istanbul Kultur University (GPoT) and Economic Policy Research Foundation in Turkey (TEPAV) organized two presentations on migration in Istanbul and Ankara in February, as part of EPF’s project “Research of the state of Armenian migrants working in Turkey,” funded by the Norwegian government and USAID.

Press Coverage of Meeting of the Armenian and Turkish media professionals in Yerevan

On December 17-20, 2009 EPF, together with GPOT, held a meeting of Armenian and Turkish media professionals at the Congress Hotel in Yerevan. The meeting brought together a number of distinguished Media Professionals from Turkey representing such respected outlets as CNN Türk, Milliyet, Sabah, Hurriyet, Cumhuriyet, Akşam, Taraf, Referans, Hurriyet Daily News. Turkey-Armenia process at turning point

Time is running out for Turkey to ratify the border-opening deal with Armenia that began with a football match last year and reached the stage of signing normalization protocols in October, Armenia’s foreign minister has said. “The whole world has supported these protocols and they should be approved at once,” said Edward Nalbandian, repeatedly voicing frustration that the deal has become embroiled with Turkish demands for progress on the frozen conflict between Azerbaijan and the Armenian-occupied enclave of Nagorno-Karabakh.

Despite Everything, Turkey will Ratify Protocols, Say Turkish Journalists in Armenia

With the aim of meeting and holding discussions with their Armenian colleagues, two Turkish journalists — Verhat Boratav of CNN Turk and Badri Gyursel of Milliyet — arrived in Armenia recently and took the time to respond to Armenian journalists’ questions during a press conference today. Speaking about the ratification of the Armenian-Turkish Protocols, Gyursel noted that if progress in the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is not registered, Turkey’s Grand National Assembly (the Millet Meclisi) won’t ratify the Protocols.
